Tropicana Casino & Resort officials announced today that a deal has been reached to bring an all-new, electrifying Boogie Nights club experience to Tropicana.

“This will be the only Boogie Nights location in Atlantic City. Party goers who are familiar with the Boogie Nights brand are in for a whole new experience when the party moves to Tropicana. An incredible new sound system, state-of-the-art lighted dance floor and characters are just the start of the surprises we have in store,” said Tony Rodio, Tropicana’s president and chief executive officer.

Boogie Nights started out as a unique nightclub brand in the Atlantic City casino entertainment market. Its huge success has led it to become a nationally-known brand, bringing a thriving customer base. The new space will raise the bar of the nightlife experiences to a whole new level at Tropicana.

Boogie Nights’ new location will be doubled in size and located adjacent to the Poker Room in the area currently known as Penny Pavilion. The new nightclub will be a time warp back to the era of 8-track disco, bell bottoms, sideburns, crushed velvet and afros. Retro-style furniture, specialty pop culture cocktails and an oversized disco ball will create the ideal atmosphere for a night of flashback fun.

“The Boogie Nights brand has become an institution across the country as well as in Atlantic City,” exclaimed Dave Pena, who created and owns the Boogie Nights brand. “When people come to Boogie Nights, they know they are in for the time of their lives. The new nightclub will be approximately 8,000 square feet and will allow the opportunity for us to do what we have always dreamed.” Pena added.

Boogie Nights DJs will spin the traditional high energy dance mixes from the 70s and 80s, as well as freestyle, pop, club music and more to set the soundtrack for fun. Video walls throughout the nightclub will display music videos, excerpts from commercials, television shows, movies and other iconic images. Sexy go-go dancers, pop and lock dancers, hula hoopers, tribute artists, look-a-likes and characters such as Roller Girl will all be part of this exciting blast from the past.

“Our staff lives, loves and breathes the 70s and 80s culture. It’s not work for us. It’s a labor of love and that’s what makes the magic.” Pena continued.

Boogie Nights at the Tropicana will have all the characters that everyone has come to love like Mr. Boogie, Roller Girl, the Boogie Beaver, The Streaker, and our world famous Michael Jackson, Madonna and other celebrity impersonators. Featured DJ’s will include DJ Kevin Edge, DJ Gabor Kiss and others.

Boogie Nights will celebrate its grand opening at Tropicana in May of 2012 with a fabulous grand opening party that will be the buzz of Atlantic City, and include a calendar packed with special events, appearances and more.
