The Tropicana Casino & Resort has started a $1 Million Dollar Blackjack Challenge, that runs through February 19, 2012.

The contest is open to all Diamond Club members and players earn free entries during regular play. One entry is awarded every time a player is dealt a blackjack in the games of Blackjack, Spanish 21 and Double Attack Blackjack.

One entry will also be awarded every time a player gets a straight or better while playing Three Card Poker, Four Card Poker, Texas Hold ‘em, Caribbean Stud and Let it Ride. Traditional Poker players can earn an entry with a full house or better.

Every craps player actively playing at a table when a 12 is rolled will receive an entry. Mini Baccarat players can get into the game when a natural nine wins at the table. Every patron actively playing Roulette when a zero or double zero hits gets an entry. And for the Big Six Wheel every player gets an entry when the wheel hits 20-to-1 or 45-to-1.

Slot players can even join in the fun by earning a free entry with every hand-paid jackpot over $500. Entries will also be awarded to new members joining the Diamond Club.

On Sunday, February 19, 2012, participating players will deposit all of their earned entries into a drawing drum located in Palm Walk by 3:30 p.m. Then, at 4 p.m. seven finalists will be randomly selected to play in the finale where they will each be dealt one hand of blackjack.

If any of the seven finalists is dealt a blackjack in the first two cards, that player wins $10,000. A blackjack in spades is worth a $100,000 cash prize. And any player receiving three sevens on the first three cards will win the $1,000,000 grand prize, to be paid over 25 years.
