SOME “ADVANTAGE” IN ATLANTIC CITY
Sep.24, 2009 in
Atlantic City Casinos, Casino Promotions, Trump Marina, Trump Plaza, Trump Taj Mahal
The Trump casions are touting an “advantage pass” in the local weekly papers. Turn in a coupon to the Trump One club, and you’ll get a book full of great offers.
It’s not worth the bother, unless you happen to like their buffets. The book does have a buy-one-get-one buffet coupon for each of the three properties. But most of the others are just plain not worth it. You can get a 10-15 percent discount on overpriced stuff at many of their gift shops, a free dessert or appetizer with two entries in the gourmet room, and stuff like that. A couple of the coupons are good for offers that anyone can walk in off the street and take advantage of.
So unless you like the buffets, or are planning on a dinner in the gourmet rooms, I’d say it’s best to pass on this “great deal.”

Just returned from a two night comp at Trump Plaza. I was informed that the Broadway Buffet is now closed permanently. As for the East Tower Casino you can forget about it. The lower floor section is completely empty. All the slot and video poker machines are now located on the upper level. The cashiers location in the High Limit area is also closed.

just got back from the Taj and at check in they gave us the same (or mabye similar) book of coupons. one of the coupons was for a discounted “signature drink” at ego bar in Taj, but when I asked the bartender what I could use it for he told me there are no more signature drinks, and the coupon was worthless. Took advantage of discounted wings at Hooters in Marina, 15% off Auntie Anne’s, and B1G1 Sultan’s Feast.

Thanks for the update. I guess that two-fer at Trump Plaza is completely useless, then.
