Review of The Spirit of Christmas at the Tropicana
The Spirited Spirit of Christmas at the Tropicana
by Harriet Diamond
The Spirit of Christmas show at the Tropicana is a non-stop delight. The very talented and engaging corps of dancers and singers provides a fast-paced show that delights all ages. In addition to the major performers, including Santa, occasional dancing/singing animals join the cast.
This is not your typical every-holiday-song-you’ve-ever-heard show. It blends jazz, pop, and gospel arrangements, with a spattering of ballads (to give the cast an infrequent breather). The soloists all have exceptional voices, complemented by the talented chorus. Beyond the great singing is dancing that includes synchronicity that parallel’s the legendary Rockettes. A rapid-fire number of point and counterpoint hand clapping is captivating.
Seamless and endless costume changes also run the gamut from skimpy to elegant with much in between. Occasional forays into the audience keep everyone involved. If you’re an older gentleman sitting in the front section, you may have a chance to participate onstage to the audience’s amusement.

We found a special online for the Christmas show, a $20.00 drink voucher and an overnight stay for $80.00 a couple. Can you tell me if this is still available and can I book it through you.
Thank You,
Linda Summers
