(Atlantic City, NJ) September 12, 2011 – Resorts Casino Hotel has announced that it will host a traditional Oktoberfest featuring the 18-time Grammy award winner Jimmy Sturr Orchestra in the Ballroom October 15 & 16, 2011.

Open to the public, Oktoberfest features free admission and a variety of vendors, authentic German beer and food in addition to a full schedule of entertainment , including German Bavarian dancers with exciting performances straight from the Bavarian Mountains in traditional native costumes.  Plus, attendees will have a chance to win a free cruise for two with Jimmy Sturr and Bobby Rydell on their  Rock ‘n Polka Cruise aboard the MSC Poesia Cruises in January 2012.

A fantastic lineup of entertainment for Resorts’ two-day Oktoberfest is headlined by 18-time Grammy award winner Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra, and features the exciting German-American band DSB Die Schlauberger from the New York City with their distinctive Alpine Rock sound, The Philadelphia Brass Band, Walt Groller and his Orchestra Pennsylvania’s leading German band, The Adlers with Mike Killmer  are Oktoberfest favorites with their repertoire of German American beer hall music and stylings.
