ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 8, 2011) – Every Monday night this fall, poker players can win up to $1,000 in bonus cash prizes in the Monday Night Football Crack the Straight Promotion at Tropicana Casino & Resort.  The promotion begins Tuesday, September 6th, 2011, at 6 a.m. with winners drawn every Monday night starting Monday September 12th  2011 to January 2, 2012.

Any cash game poker player (tournament play is not eligible) whose straight is defeated by a hand of a flush or better will qualify for a box in Tropicana’s Monday Night Crack the Straight promotion. Qualifying players will choose a box form a familiar “office pool” style blank grid of 100 squares.

Fifteen minutes prior to the Monday Night kickoff, numbers will drawn at the poker podium using playing cards ace through ten to represent the numbers of the last digit of the score of each team. Prizes will be awarded after each quarter of the game to the player with the box that corresponds to the quarter’s final score.

The winners of the first and third quarter will receive $250. The halftime winner will take home $500 and the final score winner pockets $1,000 for having the lucky box. Any quarter or halftime prize not awarded will be combined with the final score prize. The maximum players per week who will be awarded boxes is limited to 100.
