If you’re looking to celebrate your love this Valentine’s Day, Atlantic City is a great place to do it.The city is holding special celebrations, as are most casinos in town.

One word of advice. If you haven’t made your hotel reservations yet, do so pronto! Valentine’s Day falls at the heart of the Presidents Day weekend, and that’s one of the busiest holidays in Atlantic City. Unless there’s a monster blizzard that weekend, the town will be packed.

The Convention & Visitors Authority is hosting a mass wedding, civil union and vow renewal ceremony on Love Day itself in the Boardwalk Hall. The service is free, but you have to register in advance at www.atlanticcitynj.com. Unless it’s a vow renewal, you’ll probably need your marriage or civil union license before you arrive.

If casinos aren’t your bag, the historic Absecon Lighthouse in the Inlet section is holding two evenings of romance February 13 and 14 from 7 to 10 p.m. Climb the tower with your special someone, and renew your energy with special treats at each landing. A DJ will spin the romantic tunes, there will be chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne, and you’ll get a professional photo as a keepsake of the event. At 8:30 p.m., there will be a group vow renewal ceremony.

It all costs $125 per couple, and same-sex couples are invited. Top it off with a night at the Chelsea Hotel for $250. Call 609-449-1360 for reservations.

OK, on to the casino events.
