REVEL BEACH, Atlantic City, NJ (February 16, 2012) – A nightclub with real zip is to be unveiled at Revel with the opening of Ivan Kane’s Royal Jelly Burlesque Nightclub.  The club, which was created just for Revel and takes cues from Kane’s renowned Forty Deuce clubs in Hollywood and Las Vegas, is set to scintillate audiences nightly with highly choreographed burlesque performances from more than a dozen dancers while a live band provides the soundtrack.  Ivan Kane’s Royal Jelly will be one of two distinctly different nightlife experiences available at the resort opening this spring.

The resort will bring together partners with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and tremendous talent to create a variety of entertainment and lifestyle experiences.  As a showbiz veteran and entrepreneur who set the standard for modern burlesque, Ivan Kane will stage a unique nightclub experience and provide an exciting addition to a range of entertainment choices at Revel.

Said Kane, “’Nightlife as art’ is the principle that drives Ivan Kane’s Royal Jelly Burlesque Nightclub. The burlesque acts are extremely technical and highly produced with the best classically trained dancers and musicians from Hollywood, Las Vegas and New York.”

Ivan Kane’s Royal Jelly Burlesque Nightclub is designed to be a nightclub in the round with DJs and dancing complemented by the drama and excitement of the burlesque shows. “Royal Jelly was designed to be exciting around every corner,” continued Kane. “Flying catwalks drop from the sky and animate the entire space.”

Kane’s shows have received praise by audiences composed of celebrities and media for their high production value.  A three-piece jazz combo and a live band back a troupe of five to 15 dancers.  Dancing begins at 10 p.m. with burlesque shows throughout the night. At 2 a.m. the intensity rises as the tempo shifts to afterhours rock ‘n roll burlesque.

Burlesque has enjoyed a renaissance in recent years thanks to Ivan Kane’s trailblazing achievements in nightlife.  And, offered to Revel guests exclusively, Ivan Kane’s Royal Jelly Burlesque Nightclub dancers will share some of their secrets in burlesque lessons on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

A native New Yorker, Ivan Kane has been a longtime fan of Broadway and as a boy “second acted” shows by sneaking into theaters with the smokers after intermission when he couldn’t afford the price of a ticket.  He later became a successful triple threat as an actor, singer and dancer.  He has appeared in Oliver Stone’s Academy Award-winning film “Platoon” as well as “Born on the Fourth of July,” “Bound” and numerous television shows.  In addition, Kane wrote the screenplay for the HBO Original Film “No Alibi” starring Eric Roberts and Dean Cain.  The professional and personal lives of Kane, his wife and their dancers have also been the focus of “Forty Deuce,” a four-part docuseries produced by Kane for Bravo in 2005.

Revel will begin welcoming guests April 2 for an eight-week preview featuring 1,800 guest rooms and a progressive schedule of select restaurant openings, gaming, performance spaces, spa, daylife and nightlife amenities.  The complete resort experience will premiere on May 25, the kickoff of Memorial Day weekend.  Reservations will open for both the smoke-free resort’s preview and premiere on March 5 at www.revelresorts.com.
