Holiday Happenings in Atlantic City
Here’s an event that’s supposed to be a lot of fun.
Tropicana is repeating its Running of the Santas Saturday night at 10 p.m. People dressed as Santa Claus (and I’m told a red and white hat is sufficient) will run through The Quarter, the casino floor and the restaurant area on the Boardwalk side, with Hooters girls in the lead. There will be stops at various eateries and bars, with special food and drink specials at each one.
The cost is $10 if you register in advance at runningofthesantas.com. and you get a “pub crawler” wristband good for all sorts of food and drink specials. You can also register on site in The Marketplace between 8 and 9:30 p.m. The run begins at 10 p.m. from Firewaters.
On another holiday note, the Virginia City buffet at Bally’s Wild Wild West is closed until about December 22. It’s one of the better spreads in town, but just before Christmas is probably the best time to give it a good cleaning.
