High-Roller Status in Atlantic City
The Harrah’s properties are joining the fight to lure premium players away from other casinos. If you have a premium player card at another property, bring it to the Total Rewards booth at Harrah’s, Showboat, Bally’s or Caesars to get an upgrade to Diamond status. The card is good until the end of March. You usually have to earn 11,000 Total Rewards credits in a year to qualify for this status, with $5 coin in on slots or $10 coin in on video poker earning one credit.
Benefits of Diamond status include free parking, a special line at restaurants and admission to the Diamond Club lounges with no points deducted from your comp account. The grub in most of these lounges is pretty good, too, not mentioning that admission comes with all the drinks you want.
Other casinos have had this promotion on and off. The longest-running one is at the Borgata, where showing your premium card from another property gets you Black Label status. Black Label players get free parking, a special line at the casual restaurants, a buffet for $10 in comps (limit two people) and admission to the Amphora lounge for yourself and a guest for $10 in comps each. In my opinion, that lounge is the nicest in Atlantic City, except maybe the 7 Stars room at Harrah’s. The food is great, it’s a wonderful atmosphere and you get top-shelf drinks. Use the offer for the first time, and they’ll throw in $100 in slot play, $20 in comps and a free room.
