ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – March 11, 2009 – In November 2007, Resorts Casino Hotel brought “Boogie” back to Atlantic City with the launch of the ultimate ‘70s and ‘80s dance club Boogie Nights. On April 3, 2009, Resorts will once again “go retro” and bring the “jingle” back to the casino floor with the debut of its coin-operated Boogie Nights slot machines.

“The sound of coins crashing into a slot tray after a jackpot is hit became synonymous with the thrill of casino action,” said John Pasqualoni, Chief Operating Officer of Resorts Casino Hotel. “With the debut of the Boogie Nights slot machine, that thrill is back.”

The Boogie Nights slot machines will be located next to Resorts “25 Hours” casino bar, just steps away from the Hotel Lobby of the Rendezvous Tower at Resorts. These retro, coin-operated machines will feature the bright and shimmering colors of the ‘70s and ‘80s, and when winning combinations are hit, players will enjoy a variety of music from each era. Boogie Nights slot machines will be dollar slot machines, with a $3 maximum coin bet.

Assisting in the launch of these coin machines will be ‘70s and ‘80s pop icon Danny Bonaduce who rose to fame on The Partridge Family, and now currently hosts the morning drive radio program on Philadelphia’s WYSP, 94.1 FM. The celebration of the return of coins Resorts casino will continue with a party that evening in Boogie Nights hosted by Bonaduce. The party will feature a new “Bonaduce” vodka-based cocktail – concocted by Danny himself – added to the Boogie Nights drink menu.

The launch of the Boogie Nights Slots will signal the beginning of “The Grooviest Boogie Nights Weekend Ever!” From April 3 through April 5, Resorts will also extend the Boogie Nights theme into its table game offerings with a ‘70s and ‘80s-themed Party Pit featuring costumed dealers, themed table game felts and music from that time period. In addition, Resorts will offer a special menu, with ‘70s and ‘80s prices, in The Buffet all weekend.

In addition to themed events for invited casino players, Destination Club card holders who earn one point through rated slot or table play will also receive a commemorative Boogie Nights T-Shirt. Resorts employees will be dressed in their favorite attire from the Boogie Nights era to add to the atmosphere. And, Resorts’ Boogie Nights night club will be open Friday and Saturday, starting at 9pm each night.

“Just like the dance club Boogie Nights, these machines and the Party Pit are intrinsically entertaining with the imagery and the music,” added Pasqualoni. “It’s all about bringing additional fun and excitement to the guest, and certainly that’s what Boogie Nights, and in particular, this Boogie Nights Weekend, is all about.”

Boogie Nights, one of the hottest dance clubs in Atlantic City and the host site of the first-ever Atlantic City Nightlife Awards, is open every Friday and Saturday night. Boogie Nights celebrates the music, style and pop culture of the 70s and 80s. Guests are treated to their favorite disco, pop and dance hits, spun by the hottest DJs in the area.  The light up dance floor, spectacular light show and giant video screens displaying music videos and visual imagery from the ‘70s and ‘80s set the retro mood and invite customers to hit the dance floor underneath the giant mirror ball.

Boogie Nights guests are transported to another place in time. Funky furniture, disco mannequins and other memorabilia are on display. Among the many characters at Boogie Nights, guests can expect to see Roller Girl zipping around on rollers skates, Mr. Boogie the Emcee, hula hoopers, celebrity impersonators, and the sexy Boogie Nights Dancers.

Boogie Nights is located on the Dining Level between The Ballroom and Capriccio. Doors open at 9 pm.  Table reservations, VIP seating and bottle service available. To reserve a VIP table, customers can call the Boogie Nights Hotline at 609.340.7698.
