$500,000 Football Challenge

United States Poker Championship Returns To Taj Mahal

NBA Light Heavyweight Champion Prince ‘Boxing Prince’ Ajamu (27-3-1/4 ko’s) Camden, NJ vs Otis ‘Triple OG’ Griffin (20-6-2/4 ko’s) Sacramento, CA will defend his belt in a 12 round NBA Light Heavyweight Championship bout.  Ajamu will once again defend the belt he retained in a hard fought 12 round unanimous decision over DeAndrey Abron this past July in Atlantic City.  Griffin, the winner of the Oscar De La Hoya’s Fox TV Reality series ‘The Next Great Champ’ does come to fight and he does fight often.  This will be his 4th fight in 2009 and he is fresh off a 6 round TKO of Ernesto Castanado in September so he’s riding high and looking for a fresh belt.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – May 12, 2009- Resorts Atlantic City Casino Hotel announced it will host an evening of mixed martial arts in the Superstar Theater, Saturday, May 30, 2009. This action-packed evening will be presented by the New Breed Fighters fight league. The fight card will feature 20 bouts, each scheduled for three, three-minute rounds. Fighters will square off inside a 24-foot caged hexagon that will be constructed inside the Superstar Theater. Fighters will use a variety of techniques, including jujitsu, boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing.

Five title fights will headline this fantastic fight card, led by a welterweight battle between Robbie “Flawless” Lawless, (4-1, Miletich Fighting Systems), and Jared ” Flash ” Gordon, (4-1, Rhino, N.Y. Fight Team). The trilogy continues as we will once and for all determine who is the BEST of the BEST.

Big Bad Kyle Weaver, (6-1), will be returning to defend his Super Heavyweight crown against Fight Factory’s fearless Dan “Bear” Hughes, (1-0). Victor Manuelle rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. A standout of his generation of New York salsa performers, Manuelle was mentored by Gilberto Santa Rosa. As a result, his success was impressive, as he strung together several number one hits. The two artists share the stage on one very special evening at Trump Taj Mahal.
