If you’re into all-you-can-eat spreads, here are two Atlantic City deals to check out.

The Hilton is reviving its promotion of giving free buffets to players who earn one comp dollar. You can check right at your machine to see if you’ve qualified. Then take your card to the buffet and chow down.

Two warnings with this one. First, the Hilton abruptly cancelled the deal without warning last year. So call ahead or otherwise make sure the promotion is still on before you play for it. Second, this buffet is OK, but definitely not gourmet. So if you’re alone or with a gambling buddy, it’s good, plain fare to  fill your stomach. But I wouldn’t bring someone I want to impress to this smorgasbord.

Resorts has a Roaring Twenties deal for its buffet. For $19.20, lunch and dinner, you can stuff your face silly, and shrimp and crab legs are included. I finally tried it today, and have to say the quality has improved. Since I”m a seafood lover, I made a good meal out of that. But I tried a few of the cooked items, too, and they were better than in the past. Also, you prepare your own salad, rather than have someone make it for you. I prefer that arrangement, too. If you love seafood, this one is definitely worthwhile even if you’re paying cash. The buffet is now open seven days a week.
