I just went through all my casino offers for March, and the pile was bigger than it’s been in a long time. They all seem to want my business, and if I didn’t have to work and otherwise have a life, I could take advantage of a promotion practically every day of the month.

   The biggest surprise came from the Hilton, where I haven’t played for several months. They’re offering me a his-and-hers watch set one day and luggage another.

   The Hilton also has a couple of promotions for even casual players. Local residents can park for free, regardless of card status, through April. Go to the promotions booth (actually, the casino cage), show your ID and get a locals sticker on your card. Show it when you leave, and you don’t have to pay to park. Also, anyone who earns one comp dollar can get a free buffet that day. Take it to the buffet and help yourself. The buffet isn’t the best in town, but it will fill your belly for a reasonable price.

   Bally’s and Resorts also seem to be upping the ante to get me in the door in March. Both places are giving more gifts than usual, and Resorts has upped my free slot-play offers.

   In the meantime, some casinos are offering rooms for prices usually seen only in the dives on the Black Horse Pike. Get onto your favorite casino’s website, or check a search site like hotels.com to see what you can get.
