Atlantic City Offers Drying Up
A month ago I wrote that I was getting fewer Atlantic City casino offers for August, and expected a full mailbox in September. Well, I was wrong.
Atlantic City properties, most notably the Caesers Entertainment casinos, seem to have stopped mailing out incentives to come inside. I didn’t get my usual monthly coupon book, and didn’t see the offers on the web site. Several friends told me they didn’t get theirs, either. So I guess I’m not persona non grata because I play mostly video poker.
I’ve gotten free room offers, which I don’t really need, and coupons for free meals in the Diamond Club. But since I earned more than 25,000 points last year, I eat free in the Diamond Club anyway. Don’t ask me what gives on that, but my friends have gotten those coupons, too.
Resorts is still sending out a bunch of offers, so I’ll do more playing there. Besides, I have about $400 in comp dollars there, too. I’m also getting some good deals from the Borgata.
But I think CZR is shooting themselves in the foot by alienating loyal players. And with Revel opening up next spring, they should be doing all they can to keep the gamblers coming to their joints.
