Atlantic City Diamond Players: Time to Use Those Coupons
This will affect only a portion of readers. But if you are a diamond player at any Harrah’s casino in Atlantic City, here’s a reminder that you have less than 3 weeks left to use the coupons in the book you got in April.
For those not in the loop, diamond players who retained their status got a coupon book as a reward, and a good one it is. The book contains a $25 coupon for casual restaurant at each of the four Harrah’s properties, a $50 gourmet dining coupon for each property, a coupon good for two drinks in a bar at each property, two free buffets at Harrah’s, and $50 off services at both Qua spa at Caesars and the spa at Bally’s. There are also five $10 gift certificates good at any restaurant, hotel or Harrah’s-owned gift shop in Atlantic City.
The casinos have been quite liberal in redemption proceedures. I have heard that if two diamond players go into the coffee shop to eat, they can run up a $50 tab and the restaurant will accept one coupon from each as payment. I don’t know if the gourmet rooms will do the same, but it’s worth a try if both you and your friend or significant other are diamond players. One gift shop did let me use two of the $10 coupons at once to buy myself a more expensive item. A friend of mine didn’t want a spa treatment, but the Qua accepted her coupon in exchange for a couple bottles of fancy lotion, something she would never indulge in if she was paying cash.
So use these up before it’s too late. If you’re not a local like I am, it will be hard to use these all up in one or two trips. But you can get a couple of nice meals without dipping into your comp account, and there’s always carry-out. And you can come home with some gifts from the shop of your choosing and some nice beauty products from a spa. Hint for the guys: I’m sure your lady will love these lotions for her birthday or your anniversary.
For those of you who aren’t diamod players, there’s no word if the promotion will be repeated next year. I wouldn’t go pound Harrah’s Entertainment machines for these perks, unless I was planning to do it anyway. I’m sure the other properties offer their top players similar deals.

Hi,
Really dumb question for all you Diamond club members out there. I’m a local and I was saving my coupon book for my father’s visit this week and my purse got stolen. So just wondering if anybody out there is not going to end up using theirs as they expire at the end of the month. If you are just going to pitch it and want to do a good deed, then e-mail me. Thanks.
