Another Labor Day Promotion in Atlantic City
Atlantic City’s gaming halls really want to send summer out with a bang.
The Borgata is offering three times the slot dollars, redeemable on another trip, if you play there September 4, 5, or 6 – or all three days.
There are a couple caveats to their largess. First, you must earn $10 in comps on one trip before the slot play kicks in. They’re pretty tight with comps for video-poker players, but more generous if you like the reel spinners. Second, some people have noticed it takes longer to earn the comp dollars on multiplier days. So if you’re doing this one, count on playing at the Borgata for several hours.
This is in addition to Bally’s giving away gift cards on Labor Day itself for players who earn 250 Total Rewards Credits. Still no word on what stores the cards are good for.
Caesars is doing a Mega Money game on from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5. You pick up a game piece with six numbers and the drawings are once an hour. Match one number, and you get $25 in free slot play. It goes up from there, to matching all six numbers gives you a cool million. Winners have until the next drawing to claim their prize.
They don’t say how many points you have to earn to get a game piece, but it was 25 Total Reward credits last time they did this. You can only win once per day. So if you match one number in the 1 p.m. drawing, you have an hour to decide if you want to take the 25 bucks, or hold off for a better prize.
It will be hard for me to decide where to spend my Labor Day weekend. But my mailbox is filling up quickly with September offers, so there will be plenty more opportunities once the summer tourists go home.

I visited Cesears Atlantic City recently and found there were almost empty both in table games and slot . I wonder what happened to this casino. It used to be pretty crowded. And I noticed the dealers and floor men are not as friendly as the other casinos in AC I visited. I like The Borgata because it maintains a very high class style as always.

I didn’t go to work that promotion, as I had other things to do those two days. Sometimes I’ve seen Caesars crowded, other times, dead.
Many casinos, with the exception of the Borgata, are often dead, especially on weekdays. Even the Borgata is slower than usual. If people can feed slot machines and play table games at home in Pa. and Del., they’ll stay closer to home – apparently even if the odds stink.
